Dr. Mork has personally performed more than 7,000 arthroscopic spinal surgeries at MicroSpine. He has also designed many of the specialized tools used in laser spinal surgery and is constantly pursuing the improvement of spinal care.
A native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Dr. Anthony R. Mork is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of the Pacific, where he earned his BS degree in chemistry. His 1977 MD degree is from the heralded Creighton Medical School in Omaha, Nebraska. Residency training in orthopedic surgery was conducted in association with the University of Southern California at the Martin Luther King, Jr. General Hospital in Los Angeles, California.
Prior to co-founding MicroSpine, Dr. Mork was in private practice from 1982 to 1988 in Long Beach, California. He was also a clinical instructor with the University of Southern California during that time. Affiliated with the Wiltse Spine Institute of Long Beach for 10 years, Dr. Mork then practiced at the GCOC Spinal Institute in Florida.
Dr. Mork has extended his education worldwide at such leading institutions as Addenbrooke Hospital in Cambridge, England and Endo-Klink in Hamburg, West Germany. Founding MicroSpine in of 2001, Dr. Mork continues to specialize his techniques in minimally-invasive spinal surgery.
