As co-founder and chief of Anesthesiology at MicroSpine, Dr. Scott M.W. Haufe oversees all surgical procedures. He also has extensive training and experience in all aspects of Pain Management, including epidurals and the surgical implantation of spinal cord simulators and morphine pumps.
Originally from Sarasota, Florida, Dr. Scott Haufe graduated Cum Laude from the University of South Florida (Tampa) with a BS in Biology in 1992. He was fortunate to remain at the University of South Florida for his Medical School training. Dr. Haufe then served his Internship in Internal Medicine and a Residency in Anesthesiology, also at the University of South Florida, in a program affiliated with Tampa General Hospital, All Childrens Hospital, Shriners Childrens Hospital, James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, Bay Pines Veterans Hospital, Moffit Cancer Center and Monroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala, Florida.
Prior to co-founding MicroSpine, Dr. Haufe was Director of Pain Management at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce, Florida and Chief of Anesthesiology for American Medical Care in Hudson, Florida.
