Cost and Insurance

Thank you for considering MicroSpine for your evaluation, diagnostic testing and/or surgical procedure. Advanced healthcare doesn’t have to be expensive and often our patient’s costs are similar or less than those of conventional surgery. Unlike other facilities that claim to perform similar surgeries as MicroSpine, we at MicroSpine are proud to be able to work with insurance companies to keep your costs down. This took years of research and efforts by our staff and research teams. This insurance approval required inspections from these insurance companies as well as a review of our records to confirm that we meet their standards. Even in cases where we are not yet contracted with your insurance, we believe you will find that MicroSpine is a reasonable alternative to conventional surgery. We will try to work with you to help get you the treatment you need to get back to a normal lifestyle. We are continuing to attempt to further our insurance providers and we encourage you to ask your insurance to consider contracting with MicroSpine. We expect more insurance companies will contract with us in the future but as with most new technologies this takes time. Pre-Certification
Prior to your visit, our Patient Liaison provides verification and pre-certification services to determine your total insurance reimbursement. We file your insurance claim for you, offer many options, and provide you with all forms and information you may need.

"In Network" Contract Carriers
We are contracted with most major insurance carriers for guaranteed coverage of our diagnostics, surgery and other treatments. Additional carrier contracts are expected in the near future. These carriers have current MicroSpine contracts:

Medicare
We are contracted with Medicare for all procedures except the services of the surgeons. For your convenience, we handle all claims for Medicare reimbursement. As with other carriers, you are responsible for deductibles.

Private Pay
If your insurance plan will not cover our fees, we offer a pre-paid discount that includes most expenses and helps to cap the cost of most of your surgery. Though more advanced, our costs are generally less than conventional spinal surgery. We also offer several financing plans to assist you. Pre-Payment Discount
We offer a substantial discount for pre-payment of services, if allowable. With this agreement, you are responsible for filing for reimbursement from your insurance carrier. (We file Medicare claims for you.) We assist you in every way and provide all information to help you complete your claim forms.
